Project overview
The project addressed three key challenges of the reusable steel instrument: high manufacturing costs, long-term maintenance requirements and contamination risks associated with repeated use. DOMTEKNIKA developed a single-use polymer alternative for applying ZipFix sternal implants, covering concept research, complete product development, functional prototype validation and management of an initial injection-moulded series.
What we handled
