Project overview
In 2015, DOMTEKNIKA developed a system for a major Swiss watchmaker based on an internal idea rather than a client request. The mechanism uses ambient temperature variations to wind the mainspring automatically and prevent it from unwinding completely, an important consideration for mechanical watch accuracy. The project included a functional prototype and performance testing. A provisional patent filing was made, but was not followed by a definitive filing and was never published.
